When you use the App, it collects and uses certain information that you provide (“User Provided Data”) and information about how you use the App (“Automatically Collected Data”).
What is User Provided Data? The App obtains the information you provide when you download, register, and use the App, including for example and without limitation (a) your name, e-mail address, password, mobile number, animal information, and other registration information, (b) transaction-related information, such as when and how you use the App, who is in your “stable” and content you post using the App, including pictures, (c) information you provide us when you contact us for help; and (d) any other information you enter into our system when using the App, such as contact information.
We may also use the information you have provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices, informational content, and marketing promotions.
What is Automatically Collected Data? In addition to the information you provide and information about how and when you use the App, the App may collect certain information automatically, such as the type of mobile device you use, the mobile operating system being used, the ID of your mobile device, and your location. This App collects precise information about the location of your device when you have location services activated. You can turn location services off at any time by adjusting the location settings within the App.
How do we use your data? We respect your privacy, and share your information with third parties only in the following ways:
(1) As may be required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or other legal process
(2) When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request
(3) With our trusted service providers who work on our behalf to bring you this App and do not have independent use of the information we disclose to them
(4) If Merial, the owner of Ride to Win, is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets including the User Provided Data and/or the Automatically Collected Data, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on the App of any change in ownership or uses of this information as well as any choices you may have regarding such changes.
We retain your information, including your User Provided Data, for as long as you use the App and for a reasonable time thereafter. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required for the App to function properly, and we may be required to retain certain information by law.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information to operate, develop, or improve our App. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
